Project introduction

Filter press is used for separating solids and liquids. Compared with other solid-liquid separation equipment, the mud cake filtered by the filter press has a higher solid content and excellent separation effect. The basic principle of solid-liquid separation is that the mixture flows through the filter medium (filter cloth) and the solid stays on the filter cloth, gradually accumulating on the filter cloth to form a filter cake. And the filtrate part penetrates the filter cloth, becoming a clear night without solids.

Filter press workflow

The operation of a filter press is divided into four main steps: feeding, extrusion, drying, and unloading
With the lifting of the top tightening device, after the plate and frame are closed, the feed valve opens, allowing the slurry to be injected into each filter chamber; After the feeding process is completed, the high-pressure water pump transports the slurry to the rubber diaphragm, applying pressure to the diaphragm to allow the filtrate to pass through the filter cloth; Subsequently, open the drying valve and fill the filter chamber with dry air, directing the high-pressure water above the filter cloth back to the high-pressure water pump station and absorbing some of the remaining moisture in the filter cake; After the frame is opened, the movement of the filter cloth will cause the filter cake to be discharged from both sides of the filter press.

Application of filter press

1. Solid liquid separation is a common mechanical equipment in the field, which can process and recover materials such as coal, stone, lime, petroleum, medicine, food additives, etc;
2. In terms of sludge treatment, the filter press can remove the moisture in the sludge to achieve harmless treatment standards;
3. In the process of urban sewage treatment, filter presses can separate sludge from wastewater, reduce pollutant concentration, and make wastewater treatment more thorough;
4. Filter presses are also widely used in other fields, such as wastewater treatment systems in industries such as steel, metallurgy, and textiles, as well as production units such as paper mills and sugar factories.
